Jeffrey Tiede, MD, Mayo Clinic, Department of Pain Medicine, Jacksonville, FL.
Says a patient: Dr. Tiede has a reputation for showing up to work early, just so he can read up on the latest medical information, journals, and publications. He's on the cutting edge of pain medicine -- no pun intended -- rather than being surgery-happy, Dr. Tiede explores the latest technology and conservative measures. Dr. Tiede is an outstanding communicator; a true listener. He strongly adheres to the value that the needs of a patient come first. The entire staff at Dr. Tiede's office is hands-down the best medical team I've ever experienced. Chronic pain patients suffer 24/7. Most chronic pain patients live their lives knowing that there is "no cure" except to manage their pain. As their physical abilities decline, they're reminded of their mortality. Managing this is a heavy feat for both doctor and patient. Dr. Tiede provides hope and compassion. Words cannot express what a savior this physician has been to me.
